Industry focus industry management

Energy, food, medicine: Behind these and many other products are large industrial companies whose mass production accounts for the second-largest share of Germany's gross domestic product and thus a large share of the foundation of prosperity. A dual study programme in an industrial company offers a variety of different departments. These include human resources, production, marketing, sales, purchasing, controlling and many more. Get to know the practice and your desired department at one of these companies and study the theory at the DHSH.

Study contents

In the dual study programme in Business Administration with a focus on industry, you will not only become an all-rounder for all questions surrounding business administration, but also be a specialist for the industrial sector. In four modules, each with eight semester hours per week, you will learn how to develop processes for customer orders, recognise the opportunities of globalisation and make strategic decisions for industry.

Credit Points

The modules usually end with a written exam or, in some modules, with a term paper. You receive five credit points for each exam you pass.

Additional degrees

In addition to the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, you can complete a commercial vocational qualification during the three-year degree programme. Furthermore, there is the additional option of obtaining a trainer's qualification in accordance with the Ordinance on Trainer's Qualification (AEVO). The trainer's certificate is the formal authorisation to train in a company later on.
