Industry focus service management

Companies in the services sector include, for example, the economic sectors of transport and traffic, energy supply, information and communication, professional and technical services as well as other economic services. With this range, services are the largest and fastest growing economic sector in Germany. Here you can find out about the many different companies that offer a study place together with the DHSH.

Study contents

In your studies, you will learn in the four modules Branchen BWL I to IV, each with eight semester hours per semester, to recognise the business and economic significance of services, to make process decisions in the context of procurement, to transfer the theoretical principles of marketing instruments to services and to use and evaluate models for measuring service quality and customer value. Credit Points

Generally, you conclude Modules Service Management I to III with a written exam, and Module Service Management IV with a semester project. For each successfully passed exam, you will receive five credit points.

Additional degrees

In addition to the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, you can complete a commercial vocational qualification during the three-year degree programme. Furthermore, there is the additional option of obtaining a trainer's qualification in accordance with the Ordinance on Trainer's Qualification (AEVO). The trainer's certificate is the formal authorisation to train in a company later on.
