This is exactly what our industry specialisation Management in Health Care is tailored to. After your three-year Bachelor's degree at the DHSH and simultaneous training with one of our partners , you are welcome as a manager in all institutions and companies in the health and care sector. The range of possible employers is very wide. These include, for example, hospitals, nursing homes, doctors' surgeries, health insurance companies, health authorities and ministries, companies in the health care industry, etc.

Study contents

In your studies, you will learn the specifics of your future professional field in depth, building on business management methodological knowledge. Based on the systematics of the health care system, business challenges are taken up in a practical manner and in cooperation with your institution/company and dealt with in courses and projects. In addition to the medical terminology, you will also learn about the differentiated regulatory framework of the healthcare system. The increasing use of technologies is also dealt with and illustrated in business models. A total of six modules lay the foundation for you to take on management tasks in the healthcare sector.

Additional degrees

In addition to the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, you can complete a commercial vocational qualification during the three-year degree programme. Furthermore, there is the additional option of obtaining a trainer's qualification in accordance with the Ordinance on Trainer's Qualification (AEVO). The trainer's certificate is the formal authorisation to train in a company later on.
