Course structure for Business Informatics
The curriculum for the first semesters consists of required modules. In addition to the fundamentals of business administration, social sciences, and mathematics, you’ll delve into areas of (business) information technology such as software development, data science, and data management. In total, you’ll work on five practical projects that span multiple semesters.
Required-elective module
In the fifth and sixth semesters, students can choose from a variety of required-elective modules in computer science and business administration, four of which must be taken.
Bachelor's Thesis and Colloquium
In the sixth semester, you will write your bachelor’s thesis—an academic paper that concludes the bachelor’s degree program (Bachelor of Science). The topic will be determined in consultation with your company and your thesis advisor. The final exam is the colloqium, during which you will be questioned orally on the subject matter of your bachelor’s thesis.
Graduation
The dual degree program in Business Informatics leads to a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. This program has been successfully accredited by ZEvA (Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency).
