Study dual:

Practical experience and theory combined: In the dual degree program in Applied Computer Science, theory modules at DHSH alternate with practical phases at your employer. This allows you to apply what you’ve learned right away!
You can combine the Software Engineering/Applied Computer Science program with vocational training (training-integrated option), or with practical work that is independent of vocational training (practice-integrated option). Here you will find more information about the two program options [PDF].

3 degrees in 3 years:

In addition to your bachelor’s degree, you can also earn a vocational qualification and become a certified trainer during your three years at DHSH. Students in the Applied Computer Science program can choose to pursue training as an IT specialist (IHK) in one of four specializations: system integration, application development, data and process analysis, and digital networking. The examination administered by the Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) takes place after 2.5 years.

We offer the Applied Computer Science (Bachelor of Science) program at our Kiel campus. If you don't live in Kiel, you can rent a room in one of our guesthouses.

Credit Points:

To earn a bachelor’s degree, you need 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits. The breakdown is as follows:

Course structure:

Each of the three academic years is divided into two semesters. Each semester consists of a practical component at a company (practical phase) and a theoretical component at the Duale Hochschule Schleswig-Holstein (theoretical phase). Here you'll find the complete process.
